After the Show Where Do the Actors Go?
The project After the show, where do the actors go? took us to Sărata-Monteoru and Buzău in Romania, where we explored the long-term impact of Erasmus+ mobilities together with participants from 14 countries. The main idea was to see mobility not as a one-time experience, but as the beginning of a longer learning process. Through non-formal education, teamwork, reflection, cultural evenings and international group activities, we learned how to turn the knowledge, motivation and connections gained during the project into real actions and positive change in our local communities.
Very often, an Erasmus+ project ends, participants return home full of energy, ideas and motivation, but after a few days of everyday life, the impact slowly fades away. The project After the show, where do the actors go? aimed to challenge exactly that.
In Romania, together with participants from 14 countries, we explored how Erasmus+ mobilities can become a longer-term learning process, not just a one-time experience. The programme took place in the peaceful environment of Sărata-Monteoru and later in Buzău. During the project, we worked in international teams, explored non-formal education methods, created our own activities, reflected on our learning and discussed how to bring the Erasmus+ experience back to our local communities.
The project also included cultural evenings, outdoor activities, Land Art, a visit to the Berca Mud Volcanoes and the final Youthpass ceremony. But the most important takeaway was the question we brought home with us: what are we going to do with all of this now?
Because the real “show” does not end when we return home. In many ways, that is exactly where it begins.
